Adding debit card to Garmin Pay results in endless running man

When I try to add my debit card to Garmin Pay in the Connect app, after entering the card details I just get the running stick man forever. No error, no timeout, just the running stick man.

Both Garmin and my bank confirm that my card (ABN-Amro Maestro) is supported.

Adding my ABN-Amro Mastercard worked like a charm, but I don't like using that. Any suggestions?

  • In my case it says your card info is wrong all the time garmin pay is not functioning. I hope it is secure since I enter my card info many times.

  • As it turned out, it was pretty simple. Both the instructions on the Garmin and on the ABN-AMRO website were faulty.
    The ABN-Amro Maestro card doesn't have a CVC-code and both websites instructed to leave this field empty. I contacted Garmin support via chat this morning and the simple solution was, to fill out 000 in the CVC field.

    What struck me, is that the (very friendly) support engineer knew about the error on the instruction pages. He excused himself that it appeared very difficult to get it fixed on the instruction pages.

    Anyway, I am off to the store an buy something with Garmin Pay :-D
