To my mind, the 55 is the greatest running watch ever made, for the experienced athlete it’s job done at minimum cost. The battery improvement over the 45 was inspired!

Yup. When I got my 955 last year, the 965 was already available. It was the first time I bought a new Garmin that wasn't the latest model for its price range / product tier.
To me, the 165 Music (my first sports watch ever) was the best option for me. I am a regular runner (3 times per week), do half marathons and it also fit perfectly in my budget. Plus I like the looks of it better than other options and I love the AMOLED touch screen. For the first time, I have lots of extra details about my runs. It's just enough to give me good insights and not too much to overwhelm me.
