Inline skating activity

I saw that inline skating activity was recently added to Forerunner 255/265 and 955/965, is there any chance that this watch will also get this sport profile?

What hardware is on the fr255/265 and fr955/965 that's not on the fr165? What's make it that you can't initiate 'Inline Skating activity profile' on a new watch like this? The 'old fr 255…

The FR 165 does not have an Inline Skating activity profile. Here's a comparison chart showing the differences between the FR 55, FR 165, and FR 265: Comparison Chart.

I know that it does not, initially neither of those I wrote had it but eventually they received it, so I am wondering if 165 will go the same way or won't.

The 'old fr 255' cost around the same as the new 'fr 165'. My watch is broken and have to chose between different brands. My old watch (4,5jaar) from a other brand had the profile from the beginning. For some people (like me) is this a break point to choose for a other brand... I don't get it? It cost nearly 300€...

You can improve device functionality with Connect IQ apps.

I would recommend to search for "inline skating" in apps.garmin.com store.

Now I am fond of https://www.fbbbrown.com/garmin-connect-iq/ fbbbrown developer. Also Stanislav Bures made a lot of useful stuff. Ie. My App: https://apps.garmin.com/apps/7e446bbe-5eed-4ace-b4d7-ab35372f5b34 (unfortunately still not updated for FR165, but it worth to try to ask him to update to the latest SDK and devices list).

Third party app is OK, although requires additional payment for more advanced features

Build in app even better.

I just renamed Other to Inline Skating
