HRM 600 Distance

Does anyone know if the HRM 600 will ever get the ability to track distance for indoor walking?

Until that happens, I can't justify getting the newer HRM 600. The HRM Pro Plus tracks distance now, but I'd love to get the HRM 600 with the rechargeable battery and machine washable strap.

If it does not work for you, then you may need to calibrate it first with a few outdoor walks with GPS, or with the Treadmill activity.

I can show you mine, proving that it really works, right now. I just walked on place for ~2 minutes, with the strap alone (without watch):

I run at least a 5k a day. Most days more.

Then try resetting the calibration and doing it anew. Make sure the auto-calibration is enabled in HRM 600 settings. Also please note that for measuring the distance with HRM 600 you either have to use it standalone (without the watch), or use the ANT+ connection to the watch (it does not work with the BT connection).
