Orange light Tacx Vortex

The orange light on my Tacx Vortex is permanent on. I found it means; Software update being installed.

The system is not connected to any device or PC. Even the display on the steering wheel doesn't connect anymore.

What do I have to do to solve this?

It is necessary to update the firmware using the utility included in TTS4:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Tacx\TacxTrainersoftware4\updater\TacxUpdate.exe

If you do not have TTS4 installed, then this utility can be downloaded separately here:

Before using the utility, turn off the internet and place the trainer as close to the ANT+ antenna as possible.

Windows 7 and higher, including Windows 10.

Hi Alex,

i could update the firmware and the green light

is flashing again. I could also connect to the display at the steer. GREAT SUPPORT!! THANKS!!

I have the legal TTS4 CD but I couldn’t activate it with
the code in the CD box. So I can not use TTS4 for training. Any idea to solve this?

Hi support, I have the same issue now with the vortext. did try an update. After an hour of "writing" and nothing moving on I restarted all. Now the vortex shows solid organge light. But I have a Macbook. How can I get this going again?

What model of Vortex do you have? If this is not a smart model, then you need a computer running Windows.

Thanks for getting back. It is a smart model. What if did. is deinstall all tacx Garmin apps and also had the vortex ooff for a while. Then I reinstalled the apps on. MacBook and also iPhone. I was able to connect with iPhone and even though the app said I am up to date with the firmware I selected to update and after 3 minutes update was confirmed again and now the light turned to blinking green and worked again
