Tacx Neo Bike Accuracy

Just got my Tacx Neo Bike. Really a nice machine to ride.

Firmware is up to date.

The claimed accuacy of 1%, does that hold water?

I have dual recored against my Garmin Rally RS200 pedals. Accuacy claim of 1% also. Firmware up to date, and crank length set corect, and calibrated before rides.

The pedals have been tested against Stages Bike, Kickr V5 and Power2Max. All with nice looking results.

In my dual recordings against the Neo Bike, The Neo is overshooting by 7-8% which is totally unacceptable!

I have the same problem with accuracy, or accuarcy aganist other powerreaders.
In my setup is the tacX Neo Bike overreading generally between 3-6% when dual recoring with Assimoa Duo, with more difference in higher Watts.

Hi.

The reason for pedalbased powermeter to show less watt on the Neo, is because the crank with the pedal threads are so soft sadly.
A pedalbased powermeter will never work properly in that soft material.

not (only) the crank the issue, all of the oldel version of the neobike has this 5-6% overreports, i have already seen 1!!! accurate one already, that was the B (new) version with new crank and new interior (and probably better factory calibration and other minor tweaking due to the belt system and generated heat/friction there are modifiers in calculation...) . BTW, one of my friend sold his old and inaccurate NeoBike (with same 5-6% overreadings), bought a SB20, and that is overmeasuring with 7-8% :D (due to the right crank is very inaccurate, has a serious temp drift too and overreporting the power). So very hard to find an accuraty smartbike (probably the Wahoo Bike , but the Wahoo is not perfect neither, as none of the products on the mass market...)

I have the same problem and had a big discussion with Garmin because of this, they even replaced my bike and the "new" one had the same problem.

It is overshooting 7-8% compared with Assioma Power pedals. It is weird but later I realized that if you focus on pedalling aplying power in the full cycle, the difference is less (I've achieved 1% difference only). It is like the bike doesn't take into accoung the pedalling techique and assumes that it is perfect ... which in real life is hard to achive unless you put a lot of effort and focus on this.
