When will it be possible to program the shifter small buttons?

Maybe for Power up in zwift?

This is what I am hoping for. A Zwift Power up button option instead of the turning that they're intended for

Any programming of thoser buttons implies that ZWIFT will also support those features... So far ZWIFT have added support to the following:

-TACX: road feel for NEO

-WAHOO: climb compatibility

WATT Bike: gear display on ZWIFT

Anything else is a discussion/agreement between trainer manufactors and ZWIFT...most probably we will see those buttons used for steering because that is the original idea.

If the button acts like a space bar press the zwift would need no interface. Issue is can the Neo bike have buttons replicate keyboard?

I think tacx neo bike is death. Have ordered mine in Januar 2020 and now I have to look another way. No news. No Infos. Absolutely No response from Garmin = death product.

Anyone from Garmin reading these posts? Please, please, please let us use those buttons in Zwift. Just like you can on the Kickr Bike
