An Edge540 Connected to a Tacx Neo2T is calculating a wrong speed/distance on every sesion

An Edge540 Connected to a Tacx Neo2T is showing a tremendous different speed/distance, which is not correct. How can I syncronize the Edge, so It shows the correct speed/distance ?

  • no solution, one is a virtual speed (i bet you wanna compare it to a virtual app ingame speed as in tacx videos or zwift or mywhoosh) and the other is the physical speed of the rear disc (wheel), it is the speed sensor's data.

  • Thanks for your reply.  The solution would be easy if the Edge (or the Garmin device) allowed you to introduce the Chainring and the Sprocket of your bike (mounted in the simulator). With that info and the cadence at the sesion, they can calculate the speed/distance with no error.

Those devices are too expensive for not giving you that possibility. Instead, they just asume a wrong info which is not good at all.

  • if you pedal in ERG mode all day in a specified gear ratio (small front-middle rear), you can modify the wheel circumference to a much bigger value in speed's sensor details in Edge. that a bit helps but the 2 values (virtual and physical) wont match exactly , just can be closer. (you can do this trick in SIM mode also)
