Garmin Alpine after last update

After the latest update, the Garmin Alpine stops working during ROUVY rides and requires calibration. After calibration, part of the ride works fine, then the problem reappears. Is it possible to revert to the previous software version that worked correctly?

  • Problem solved. I removed the Alpine from Tacx Training, turned off the trainer, and reset the Alpine by holding the AUTO button. Then I calibrated it by holding the up and down buttons. After pairing it with the trainer again, everything worked fine.

  • Hey , thanks for your post.

The most recent update for NEO 3M added a sensor configuration option to the Tacx Training App: Using Secure Connection on Tacx Trainers

Our internal testing with NEO 3M and Rouvy allowed us to pair the NEO only while using the ANT+ connection type. Depending on what device is used to run Rouvy, ANT+ connections may be available.

The Alpine gradient simulator need only be paired with the compatible Tacx trainer, and does not pair to Rouvy directly: Pairing the Tacx Alpine with Your Trainer

Please reach out to Rouvy for further support regarding supported devices and connection types.

  • I wish Garmin would post notices of firmware upgrades somewhere on the forums.   I rarely connect to the Tacx Training App on my iPhone.  I connected last night, and there was a new firmware upgrade.   It would be helpful to be advised of firmware updates so I could know when to check and update my Alpine.
