Impossible to install Tacx on Windows Surface Pro 5

Hello

I have an error message when I try to install Garmin Tacx on my Windows Surface 5 under Windows 11.

The technical support could not help me. I have the same message on another computer which is new (mini computer). It works on a Dell Workstation Precision.

Where can I download the full setup program without going through Windows tstore?

Regards

  • Thank you for your answer. I've done it. Download was ok but when I try to install it, I have an error message "App installer failed to install package dependencies". I've tried the other way (PowerShell) and install the expected dependencies (VCLibs.120) but I still have an error message like if I did not installed it (or unable to find it).

  • Hello and thanks for your post.

I would ask that you check for and install any available Windows system updates prior to continuing troubleshooting the Tacx Desktop App installation. You may also test without using a VPN and check that your systems meet the requirements here: Tacx Training App Compatibility and Requirements

If you continue to experience errors, please reply to this message with your consent for me to reach out to you via email. No need to post personal info here, I will use the email for your Garmin Fourm account.
I would like to gather log files from your computer so that we can determine why the install results in an error message.

  • Hello and thank you for your message,

I don’t know what happened. Before following your advice, I decided to try one last thing: installing the software through the Windows Store… and it worked! Thank you for your help.

    Best regards.
