zwift virtual gear changes - please update the firmware

a little feature request if you will. it would be great if garmin updated the firmware of their top trainer to get use of the recently introduced virtual gearing in zwift. thanks ;)

As per the response from GPlama we as a community need to request this from Tacx...................... COME ON Garmin/Tacx get on with enabling virtual shifting

Just read this article too. The bit i am confused about is how you actually change virtual gears. Zwift play has a button controller to enable the rider to virtually change the resistance whilst physically stayaing in the same chainring and sprocket (i assume). How does the virtual shift work on QZ. In the article it mentions bluetooth remote volume control? can you explain this? thank you

It works exactly in the same way: actually qz invented virtual gearing in the 2021 when zwift didn't have it yet :) also qz bring virtual gearing even without zwift play or click if you don't have it. Check this video Zwift Virtual Gearing for all the trainers !

So if i dont have zwift play to press a button how do you activate a virtual gear shift?

You can use the gears button on the app or use any Bluetooth remote connected with qz (any cheap one on Amazon)

Thank you and without having properly read everything the main set up change is when launching zwift instead of power source and controllerables being my Neo T2 I would select QZ app. And in the set up for the QZ app this will pair to my Neo. I hope i have now got the basics of this.
