Hello all, and thank you for your participation on this topic.
As many users have pointed out, Zwift's virtual shifting feature relies on more than just the connected smart trainer (in this case, the NEO…
Garmin,
We need this update! Please update the Firmware to include virtual shifting.
thanks
As per the response from GPlama we as a community need to request this from Tacx...................... COME ON Garmin/Tacx get on with enabling virtual shifting
Yeah, I need it on my Neo 2 as well
I too agree this should be a no-brainer for Garmin. I bought the Neo 2T based on the features 1.5 years ago. I will admit I had many doubts after seeing a lot of noise about Garmin's lack of support, particularly for the bearing issue. Garmin should have implemented virtual shifting ages ago. I now wish I had gone with my gut and bought the Wahoo Kickr, after reading all the negative reviews about Garmin's lack of support. I am really disappointed. Virtual shifting is well over a year old, Garmin has apparently implemented it on the new trainer series, but appears to be giving Neo 2T users the middle finger. Really, really disappointed with Garmin. And just in case the strategy is to encourage current Neo 2T users to buy newer equipment - I might, but it won't be a Garmin.
If this is true and Garmin have put virtual shifting on the latest trainer then they are dead to me. I have a fenix 6 and hardly any of the new features come to it, compare that to Apple who bring new features to older watches all the time. I get the commercial side of getting people to buy the latest edition, but we are talking of devices that cost upwards of £900 for a watch, Apple do it for £300 watches.
Indeed. Can the firmware please be updated to support virtual shifting. Like others, thoughts of moving elsewhere are pervasive and likely to be acted upon when my Neo2T needs replacing if it still doesn't support this feature at that point in time ...
The only answer here is to boycott all Garmin products. If they refuse to provide support make sure we always purchase a competitor product at every oppurtunity. It seems to be the only way to get them to do the right thing and provide support.
Please update to virtual shifting
Please dear god update to virtual shifting!! PLEASE
