My New neo smells like burning while sprinting seems to read very low as well. anyone else experience this? It happened on the first ride. In addition to this it does not read cadence.

Contact the seller and get a replacement under warranty. Other than one of the bearings there are no user serviceable parts in the NEO 2T.

Energy has to be transferred somehow, and this device dissipates that excess energy from sprinting through heat. There are two coils just inside the top of the unit that do this. I sometimes smell a bit of burnt dust when I sprint. I feel this is normal.
