Hello,
I have a Marin DSX 1, with a SRAM XG 1299 (10-50T) Eagle cassette and X01 Eagle AXS
In a moment of madness, I paid for Tacx Neo2T, with out doing any homework, delivery of which will happen next week.
The 'Gear Ratio' (https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/701670#specs) mentions a restriction of 11T to 40T upto 12 sprockets. Post this, I am caught in a bind. I called Garmin and their response was may be / may be not with the existing cassette (10-50T)
As an alternative, I wanted to know the feasibility / workability of the following options, with the least expensive way out.
1) Can I use XG 1271 (10-44T) cassette (12 speed), which is broadly compatible with X01 RD and do not use the last 44T sprocket.
2 .A) If I directly use the XG 1299 (10-50T), what will the problems be ? Any likely compromise?
2.B) Tacx is compatible for SRAM XDR - (https://www.amazon.com/Tacx-Direct-Drive-Freehub-T2875-76/dp/B083QMWJ1V) (part number T2875.76 is required for 12 speed )
XDR cassette come in many configurations starting from 10T going all the way to 52T . The fact that Tacx has put a restriction of 11T as minimum and 40T as maximum, implies an un stated limit of the trainer. Can any body articulate the assumption?
3) The Garmin website ( https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/701670) part number T2875.60 is compatible with BOTH Shimano and SRAM 9-11 speed.
So, SRAM 11 speed cassette with the gear ratio within the Tacx specified 11-40T, should be out of the box compatible - -Is my understanding correct?
All thoughts / comments greatly appreciated.
