Brand new Neo 2T smelled burned and dropped all resistance after 5 minutes of riding

Well, my brand new Neo 2T (upgraded from a Flux 2 which made too much noise related to the faulty belt inside) smelled burned and dropped all resistance after only 5 minutes of riding. The app also shows this criticial heat error. Ambient temperature only 22 degrees in my room. It seems like the fans don‘t spin at all which causes this problem. I am on the latest firmware. Did this happen to anyone on a brand new unit on their very first ride? many thanks

When it happened to me, the electronic board had failed due to overheating.

I had to give it to service, and the unit was completely replaced because it was not repairable.

Did you smell something burning?

In any case, Garmin Support (Tacx had just been purchased in those months) was correct and solved the problem.

If you are in a European Union country the retailer should replace it as it was in effect faulty on receipt.
