Fluctuating/oscillating cadence

Hi,
I use my Neo 2T usually with my Edge 1030 (record only - power and speed/cad sensor, no trainer) and Golden Cheetah to set a gradient or follow a route. The cadence (on both) is nearly every time oscillating e.g. from 80-100 while a pedal relatively constant. Yesterday I recorded a training: Edge: (GSC10 Speed&Cadence Sensor) GC: Neo 2T - if I compare the two recordings I can see clearly the oscillating Neo 2T bot a stable GSC10
How can I solve this issue?

I had random cadence dropping to zero with my Tacx Neo 2T. The geometry of my mountain bike means that the crank end does not pass over the cadence sensor location. I made myself a temporary crank extension (length of 6mm copper tube cable tied to the crank) which has so far worked.

Answer from Garmin Support when I ask: Would S2850.50 help?

In reality, between the two the NEO 2T's cadence sensor is going to be more accurate between the two. If you are getting inconsistent readings in this particular case, I would more or less assume it's an issue with the GSC10, rather than the NEO 2T.
