Ultimate CF SL 8 Disc & Tacx NEO 2T Smart problem

I got my first ever race bike, and since I live in an region where it's not a good climate to ride outside, I also got the Tacx NEO 2T to train inside.

After setting it up yesterday, I spend an hour riding it, and it went fine by itself. But then this morning I noticed metal splinters near the cassette. So it turned out it had been sort of grinding in my frame.

I really didn't notice this during the ride ( there was no weird resistance ), but this should not happen. I did have a short chat with support about this, and they told me after sending some photos to them, that I missed the 2.7mm spacer on the non drive side, which is true. But I don't see how ordering that, will fix the spacing issue on the other side. If anything, it will make it worse.

Anyone had this issue before with Canyon bikes in combination with the NEO 2T? What did I do wrong here?

  • Did You install the casette good to the 2T? I think it is not in the good place and the 11T (and the lockring) is touching the chainfork inside (or the lockring got loose , it needs 40NM when You tighten it). Remove the bike and check the casette end (make a photo from above and share) and the inside of the bike frame.

Okay, your comment about the cassette made me take it apart and realize I should have installed the 12mm as mentioned in the manual ( which I overlooked ). So all good now, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
