Pedal Smoothness and blance missing in Tacx app

Recently I’ve bought a Tacx Neo 2T.

I find it pretty cool when riding a GPS route or Film from the Tacx (Desktop) app my activities show me the elevation gain and the route on the map I’ve rode.

When importing this activity into Garmin Connect and compared with the upload from my Fenix 5X I’m missing the pedal smoothness and L/R balance.

So the Tacx Neo itself is measuring the pedal smoothness and balance but the desktop app wil not show these measurements.

Does anybody know why? Is there a possibility to merge these measurements into one activity. One activity that will show me the complete picture?

Or am I missing some Configuration in the Tacx (Desktop) app which i can export al these measurements into Garmin Connect at once?

Thanks in advance for your answers

  • You have to connect the neo2 with bluetooth not ANT+

    Best

  • The pedal smoothness and L/R balance are not defined and so not contained in a tcx file. So check if that file format is used. The TCX f8ile format is of Garmin and not Tacx. It stands for Training Center XML. It was used before the switch to fit files and may contain pedal smoothness and L/R balance.

It has nothing to do with bluetooth or ANT+.

  • Same experience here. Even worse when you get to know that my fenix does measure and calculate changes in FTP, Watts and max HR, but the Tacx App does not. In fact I pay now 15$ for a movie platform which gives me no added value, because I have to do all training sessions on my watch instead. Sorry Garmin, but you can't call this "integration"! it just sucks!

  • The Tacx NEO2T can be connected through BLE and ANT+ at the same time. So you can record your session in Tacx and For example on PC: made a webapp ( used the google bluetooth api) with pedal  balance, smoothness and efficiency and speed, cadence, time and watt) The webpage was projected on top of a windowed, "clean"  Zwift screen. Zwift was connected through ANT+. So in one screen all info.
