HRM Dual connecting to app but not displaying BPM

Hi, I just got a Tacx NEO 2T. When connecting my Garmin HRM-Dual to my Iphone, I can see the sensor from inside the app but it doesn't show the BPM on the screen. Does anyone know what the issue could be?

This picture shows both devices connected (HRM dual and Tacx Neo2T trainer), you can see all the data coming from the trainer (Watt, Km/H and RPM) but the BPM is null.

    I fix the problem. Update an HRM dual by connecting the HRM to another compatible Garmin device (a Tacx does not work) that can be connected to Garmin Connect. You then need to connect that second device to Garmin Connect and it will ask whether you want to update your HRM. If you choose to do so it will update your HRM the next time it is connected to the device.

    I updated the fenix 5x first by connecting it to Garmin connect and then I connected my dual band to my fenix 5x and updated the software. After that was working just fine. Hope this helps. Cheers

    Hello , thanks for sharing ! Well-done and lucky you !  I tried your solution and it didn't work :-(    .  I connected my HMR-DUAL  (current software version is 2.30) to my compatible device EDGE 1000 (software version :  15.50 ). By the way : works well together . Then I connected my EDGE 1000 to Garmin Connect , as you did. But it didn't asked me to update my HRM. I tried several times and id did not work.  And my HRM-DUAL is still not working with my TACX  :-(  So I still have my useless HMR-DUAL . I am very surprised that Garmin Support does not propose any official explanation and fix for it. Quite disapointing :-(

    Hi. Try one more thing. Connect your device to Garmin express, and update the Wi-Fi username and pass. Then update the device via Garmin express and only the. Connect the dual band to the updated device with access to Wi-Fi. The. Should ask for update the dual band. Good luck

    thank you very much , I will try that . Connection to Garmin express requires a Garmin USB cable, and have to order one new , as I can't find the original one. I'll keep you posted.

    Hi all, my Garmin Tri HRM has been working perfectly with my Tacx NEO 2T, on Zwift, for a year without issue. Last used 29th December 2021, all fine, then on 30th December its a no show ....

    The Tacx app clearly recognises it when used in demo mode, but the moment I select the Tacx trainer its a no show.

    1. I have same problem with recently purchased Neo 2T and Garmin Dual HRM that came with new 1030 plus computer.  I have tried all the proposed fixes in this thread with no luck.  HRM shows connection on Tacx software, but no heart rate displayed.  HRM works fine with 1030 computer and other devices.....except my Garmin Instinct which can't even find the HRM.  Have the latest HRM updates.  Reached out to Garmin.....guess I'll try non- Garmin HRM next......which seems pretty ironic.

    Mine was finally resolved when Garmin supplied me with a replacement chest strap HRM.

    Thanks for circling back....so the replacement strap solved the problem?
