How to view pedal stroke analysis during and after

Hello people,

I'm wondering how to view the pedal stroke analysis of an activity or workout, using the windows 10 desktop app and the tacx neo 2T . I did the martigny demo training during which I saw the pedal stroke analysis graph (the 'peanut'), but afterwards I cannot find the results in my saved activity. I also created a workout (30min/ 150W) , where I didn't see the pedal stroke analysis at all (not during and not after). How to view it during and after an activity? Bonus question: In which manual could I find this kind of information?

Thanks a bunch!

  • Hi Dennis,

The pedalstroke can be viewed live in detail (and extra info)  on a bike computer like the Garmins with powermeter options  like the Edge 520/530 , 820/830 and 1030. Just before you start your training film, gps or workout, connect the Edge with the Tacx. sensors. Activate the powerscreens via the menu and voilá!

To get the data for analysis afterwards: upload your Edge-ride to Garmin Connect, select it and view the totals and the details. There you can also download the details of the ride (choose: "original" from "wheelie" menu on rightside of the screen) for your own analysis, like with Excel. ( see my post in another thread on this subject).

There is also a thread with a request for adding the pedalstroke-data to the standard  Tacx-exportfile.

    Greetings,

    Case

Wow, that's rather disappointing. I just payed 1300 euros for a machine that is advertised as having pedal stroke analysis out of the box. It turns out it only works when I spend another few hundred euros. Which is even more frustrating because you can see the frigging peanut chart during activity. The other unique selling point for me (it being extremely silent) is not true either. What a scam.

  • Hi Dennis,

I can imagine your reaction. I too had some second thoughts about my purchase.

The good thing is that additions to the software would make it possible to see the "peanuts" also in workouts: especially useful for concentration on that aspect during a training.

A second improvement would be a special window of pedal stroke analysis afterwards and the export of the details in XML and fit format.

    Greetings.

Hey that's interesting. The mobile app? Android/iPhone

  • Probably a suggestion for Tacx dev.!

This is absolutely unacceptable. Pedal stroke analysis along with reduced noise levels was the main marketing item regarding the 2T and now it appears to be available and multi hundred euro conditions on top.

Did they at least make it available to other bike computers or sport watches? Polar Vantage for example?

  • It is true. It is a scam. I bought the NEO 2t for the pedal stroke analysis i.e paying a premium for this feature and it is not provided. I think Garmin should fix this asap.

Garmin assures me that it works just fine on Windows, I use a mac and get nothing, pretty rude considering the premium price. I guess you could make any claim about any trainer and then say to attach an expensive head unit and all will be well. Get realistic road feel: by mounting your trainer on a plate compacter (not included, works only with Linux).
