Tacx Flux 2 thru axle adapter install

Flux 2

Switching out QR to thru Axle

I removed the QR plugs with a 5mm. But can't get the new thru axle plug to screw on either the cassette or the magnet side because they are different size threads.

Did I buy the wrong adapter? Or I'm being an idiot?

Tacx direct drive trainers come with two different axle types:

I have the type 2 verified by measuring the inner diameter of the axle at 12mm and my plugs have white writing on them.

And I bought this adapter which says it's for type 1.

Ask Garmin support. They may send you this spare part for free.

I see this kit for type 2 in bike shops, for example here:

Is this part for Neo2T compatible with Flux S. I have the same problem cant find orginal part for type 2, but there is a lot for Neo 2t who is also type 2. I need this 12mm adapters?

If the type of the trainer axle matches, then the adapters themselves match. The sets for Flux S/2 and Neo2T differ in spacers, washers and bolts:
