Tacx Flow 2240 Connection Dropout

My trainer has been working just fine, and then last week I started getting "ride paused please start pedalling to continue" in the middle of a ride in the Tacx Training app. I initially thought this was the device but have since tried it on 2 others and still the same.

After some testing it's clear the trainer is disconnecting from the app, when you pedal in the trainer menu no data is coming through, nut if you 'Disconnect' the device and reconnect it comes back to life, but only for a short space of time, it's so frustrating.

I'm convinced its a bluetooth/connectivity issue, but nothing has changed in the setup

Has anyone else experienced this, and what was the fix? Thanks

  • I just asked the same question because this has been happening since I bought my TacX Flow about 3 months ago.  I tried just using wifi instead of cellular and wifi with no change.  Also convinced it’s a Bluetooth/connection issue 

  • i deleted the connection on my watch and only have the TacX connected to my phone while using the app.  Seems to work much better.  Will still pause but much less.  When this happens I just unplug the trainer to reset it while keeping the app going and it works when I start pedaling again.  Hope this helps
