Stuck: Bike isn’t compatible with Tacx Flow HELP!

So I bought a Tacx flow a while back, but realised my bike is not compatible in the same way I imagined.

I was given a QR skewer with the purchase on EBay, but my bike has a screw in bolt axel on the back wheel. I’ve been deliberating so many options such as:

- buy a whole new back wheel which has the correct axel, but where do I start and what wheel do I need? How do I know which one is correct? This bike model doesn’t even come up when I google it, so how am I supposed to find out?

- I buy one if Tacx’s thru axel kits, but I don’t even know if they ar compatible with my bike and even if so, what size I would have to buy?

- buy a new bike and or trainer.

I will attach images below, but I really am a complete noobie when it comes to bikes and as much research as I’ve tried to do, I just can’t figure it out. If anyone can just tell me a rear wheel to buy, or tell me what I can do to get it working, I would be eternally grateful.

I had not seen that page! That could be quite useful, thank you. However, I can’t seem to see the axle size on my bike which could be an issue still and as I cannot find the bike on Google, I may still have problems finding the size I need to buy a thru axel from tacx

If you have a measuring ruler, then you can determine all the parameters, even the thread pitch.

Fair point. The only problem I have still is that by the looks of my bike and research, I have a solid axle/bolt on axle. As far as I am aware, that means I cannot use a QR axle without a lot of tinkering. Is this still the same case with a thru axle? Or would one of these Tacx thru axles still work with a bolt on axle?

It's hard for me to comment. Maybe your axle with bolt does not require replacement at all and is suitable for installation in a trainer frame.

My racer a very old 90s bike was the same, bought a new wheel for around £50 with quick release already fitted from madspeed7 and then used the tacx qr skewer. Just email them your wheel details and they will advise you what you need.
