I used my Mac the first time with the Tacx Flow to see differences between the different software versions.
iPad does record cadence, Mac doesn‘t. Anyone seeing this behavior?
then I wondered how can the tablet record cadence without the sensor?

how can the tablet record cadence without the sensor?
The software determines the cadence from the roller acceleration. This is not a very accurate measurement, especially if you pedal very evenly…
So better to use a cadence sensor then?
Yes, it will make the measurements more accurate.
Is the Tacx app able to connect to that via Bluetooth?
Sorry, I can't give you a straight…

Thank you Alex. So better to use a cadence sensor then? Is the Tacx app able to connect to that via Bluetooth? I saw the sensor has BTLE connectivity,

Sorry, I can't give you a straight answer here. I use TTS4, and in the current TDA and TTA, something constantly breaks with each new update (as users report).
Thanks a lot Alex. May I ask you one more beginner question: Do you use an edge in parallel to TDA or the other apps? How does this work? DomI have to start the activity on both? Edge and Tacx?
Do you use an edge in parallel to TDA or the other apps?
I only use Tacx Genius connected to TTS4.
How does this work?
Thank you Alex, I actually figured it out. You have to connect only the sensors to the Edge, not the trainer itself.
