Is there a way to estimate my FTP using the Flow Smart trainer and my Forerunner 935 watch?
Please note that I do NOT have a Chest HR sensor.
Power is the measure of the amount of work you are doing. Heart rate is your physiological response to that work.
FTP is the maximum power you can produce over an hour. It is typically estimated as 95% of the average power you can produce over a 20 minute period. Your heart rate is involved in the calculation of FTP.
Of course, it is a good idea to monitor your heart rate to insure you are not over-tressing your heart.
