How to I change the temperature to Celsius? I have the settings on metric, but it's still displaying the temperature in F rather than C.

The temperature is still coming up in Fahrenheit rather than Celsius on the metric setting. Is there any way to set the temperature to Celsius? Or is this a Garmin programming fault?

Note: the setting is on metric.

Hi! I made the changes throufh the app. I've tried on the device, however couldn't find the settings for weather.

Hello! Can you adjust your settings in the Garmin Connect Mobile app to miles, sync the device, and then switch back to kilometers and resync.

In the Garmin Connect Mobile app, access the menu
Select Garmin Devices
Select the vivosmart 4
Select General Settings
Under Distance, change the setting to miles/kilometers
Sync the device to save the changes

Please let me know if this works.

Hi there, I have a similar issue with my Lily. I’ve updated my settings to metric but the temp is still coming through in Fahrenheit. Any help would be appreciated

For new users this is insanely confusing and frustrating! There are TWO sets of settings in the app. The one that you would THINK changes to metric is ONLY for the app. In the app, you must select your device first and THEN settings if tou want to change to Celsius on your device. Literally took me more than half an hour to discover!!! Poor UI design if you ask me.

Same here. I have the new Vivosmart 5 that i received yesterday. Tried yesterday and today and finally found this thread. I've been disappointed with the watch until now. This needs to be fixed , new watch users should not experience this.

The problem is there's not 2 but three Settings, and the 3rd one is buried.

1. On the watch itself you can swipe down to setting and set it to Celcius, but it does not change.

2. The app UI allows you to set it to Celcius but again no change

3. In the app, if you select your device, then you'll see your device settings and here these changes will sync and be permanent.

Poor design.
