Garmin Vivomove Style contantly freezes after try to pay

Hi. I don't have good results with garmin support. But I am continuing trying...(I am a idiot)

Beyond the problem to wakeup without need to touch display, like some vibrations as run motorcycle, bycecle, etc that garmin do nothing, this watch have contstants freezes after try to pay anything. After freezes, it do nothing! Do not accept touch, don´t move hands, nothing, like dead! The watch only return to work after put it in charge cable and I need to align hands again. 

This is a fantastic hardware develop, but the software... kkkkkk 

Is it possible to active an "watchdog" to restart the "system" when it freezes?

Software informations: SW 4.00; TSC 2.70; SNS 7.00; NET 2.00

  • Oh...I'm a dumbhead. I expected it works through BT...Thaks to pointing me out...:-)

  • After more contact Garmin have not been able to offer any further solutions. It is possible that my watch may be faulty and have offered to replace it under their warranty scheme for a recertified one. I have accepted this and sent the watch off. I'll let you know how I get on with the replacement.

  • I now have the re certified replacement. It is in perfect condition. If you didn’t know you would think it is new. Charged up and all functions working. Added my credit card and went down the shops for a test. I am absolutely delighted to confirm that it now works at the payment terminals flawlessly. Therefore, I can only conclude that mine was in some way faulty. I had put up with this problem for some considerable time as I liked the watch so much. Now it is perfect. I will never know what was actually causing this particular fault but can only suggest to others that you contact Garmin and see if they will offer you this option. My faith has now been restored and now I will probably be buying Garmin again. So the nudge I had to tell them directly did in fact pay off for me. Good luck.

    If you read through this thread there are several things you may try that could possibly help. There is no posted solution that seems to universally work no matter where you live. Sadly, in some cases, none of the suggested solutions work so in that case your only option is to contact Garmin directly.

  • Skusal som s CZK aj EUR kartou v CZ aj na SK. Nepomohlo absolutne nic s horeuvedenych pokusov. Idem to skusit reklamovat. Rok pokusov stacil.

    I tried both CZK an EUR cards in Czechia and in Slovakia too... Nothing helped at all. I will try to use garmin guaratie. One year of attempts is enough I think.

  • Hi. Just one more question. You used your seller guarantie or you contacted garmin directly? If garmin, what is the flow to claim the guarantie? I do not see any link on this page.

    I contacted Garmin directly. You have to go through Garmin support as seilogramp says. You will have to go through the whole process of telling them what’s wrong and doing whatsoever they say to try and fix the problem. This may take some time over several attempts. After that they may assess your guarantee situation as this is personal to you alone. You may also have a guarantee from where you purchased the watch. I don’t know what the selling regulations are in Czechia or Slovakia.

  • Well. I was not so successful. Garmin support recommended me to claim it through the seller. I've got new watch, but unfortunately freezing when I try to pay is still present. I contacted garmin support again and they puts their hands off. They recommends to claim it through the seller again and again...Terrible. I'm totally disappointed by garmin support. This is perhaps my last garmin device... :-(
