Adaptive Brightness

Hi, I just got myself my first Garmin Watch, a Vivoactive 6. I really like it except for one thing: Adaptive Brightness cannot be turned off. This leads to bad readability in dark environments and even worse readability when in a bright environment where the watch is not facing the light source (like laying in bed).

I feel like this would be an easy fix but have seen many threads of people having the same problem, some of them 10 months old. Many of these people didn't find a solution and returned their watch. I am wondering whether it is on the agenda of garmin to add this feature? Otherwise I will return my watch and probably look for other brands that allow the user more control over their device. However that would be kind of sad because otherwise I really like the watch

  • I think you're gonna have to rerun it. Everything I've read says that there's no way to change this, as Garmin designed them with no auto-brightness feature. I just bought a Vivo 6 and if I knew this beforehand, I wouldn't have purchased it. Returning tomorrow and just going back to Apple. What a dumb move by Garmin.
