vivoactive 6 software not updating

I own a vivoactive 6 on SW 12.74.

When the 15.16 update came out, my watch tried to automatically update (downloads the software, installs, resets) but the new software won't apply. I would go back into the watch and it would still say SW 12.74. I tried several times and the update wouldn't apply.

I figured it might be a glitch with the update, but when 15.33 came out, the same would happen and i'd still be on 12.74.

I've tried plugging into Garmin Express, but then the watch would say SW 0.00. It would still work, and when plugged back in Garmin Express, it would be 12.74.

Any suggestions?

Hi Garmin,
Garmin Express thinks it's 12.74 and there's no other updates queued.

(garmin express is 7.21.7)

Update:
Unplugged watch and it asked to install 15.33. Seemed to go through the installation, said some bits had been updated (like the touch screen) and then it rebooted again. Then it returned to normal screen.

Checked System settings and it says software version is 0.00.

Plugged back into Garmin Express and it still thinks its 12.74.

Further update:

Deleted temp files on watch. Didn't help with update.

Deleted data on watch and rebooted. Still no change - 12.74 on garmin express. 0.00 on watch

I’m having the same issue as well with the new update and I wasn’t able to download the update before this one.

Just to confirm this is only happening when you try to update software through Garmin Express? On your watch when you follow these steps (Menu > Settings > System > Software Update) does the software update on the watch?

It’s weird it just downloaded from the watch. So since my watch didn’t get the 15.6 version as far as the features will it be covered in this update?
