Is it beneficial to switch wheelchair mode on and off if I'm semi-ambatory?

Due to injury in Iraq, I use a rigid frame day chair for a wheelchair for any distance beyond walking out to the car, however, I have a desk job and don't usually sit in my chair all day long. My exercise consist mostly of "push-runs" and I average about 8:30 min/miles in my day chair.

Having said this, does it mess up my stats to switch wheelchair mode off and on? When on, I cannot see my steps, etc from that day or prior and vice versa. How is this affecting my fitness metrics? I just switched from a FR55 and simply used the run activities. I thought I would keep my VO2 Max metrics of 48, but I'm a NO-GO at that station, too. Would it be better to stay in one or the other? I liked the idea of measuring POWER with the 6, does that work if i just keep wc mode off? I've called customer support a couple times, but it seems like we are slightly under represented. If the company is looking for ambassador representatives, feel free to contact me after I get some direction for this question. Thanks for all you guys do for all atheletes.
