Battery drain issue - watch doesn't disconnect from Wifi - GARMIN PLEASE REVIEW

Battery issue. I had same problem, charged to 100% in morning and by afternoon it was at 30%. then I let the battery drain to 0, and then charged it to 100%. After doing this I haven’t faced this issue again and battery now lasts for 8-10days. 

Have you connected to the WiFi since then? The VA6 continuously stays connected to the WiFi once it has made an initial connection. That's what is causing the drain. 

Can confirm with latest firmware, only rebooting the watch will temporarily fix the issue until wifi is enabled again.

Yes its connected to wifi. Never disconnected it.

whenever i check for software updates its able to connect using wifi automatically and tell me there are no updates (since i am already on 9.17)

Thank you for your response, but this isn't about extending the battery life, this is a fault with WiFi not disconnecting, particularly after syncing music.

I'm running the latest firmware, but haven't connected the watch to a laptop - I'll do so later. 

Is the WiFi issue being investigated?

When you say it is not disconnecting, is the screen constantly jumping to a screen that says it is syncing with Wi-fi? or that you cannot remove the network from the watch settings? Or can you describe what is indicating that wi-fi is not disconnecting? Thank you!

Thanks for coming back to me.  I've tagged you in another thread on this forum where I have shown my 'evidence' of this happening.  I can see which devices are connected to my Wifi at any point, and the VA6 is staying connected after music has been synced.  This doesn't appear to happen when checking for software updates (which connects to the wifi, but then disconnects), or syncing the watch (excluding music) via wifi.
