Move IQ walks are not being logged as activities

Hello,

recently bought a Vivoactive 5 and despite all my settings being correct (Move IQ On, Autostart On, autostart for walk at 10 minutes), my walks are not automatically started.

For example my work commute shows as a 30 min move IQ event but not as a proper activity. I used to have a Lily and an activity was automatically started as soon as a move IQ event was detected and met the criteria defined in the settings.

I have turned move IQ off and in again, restarted the watch and done all the updates but no change.

Has anyone had the same issue and managed to fix it?

Move IQ Events do not show in the device's activity history, Garmin Connect activity history, reports, in a user’s Newsfeed in Garmin Connect, nor will they count towards badge challenges.

Move IQ is handy, but to avoid this issue, I wouldn’t depend on it for all your activities.

To record a more detailed activity that counts toward your goals and totals, start the timer on your watch at the beginning of your activity and stop when you are finished. Timed activities will be the most accurate and include the most data.
