Feature request - Meditation vs Recovery

Hi Garmin team,

I’d like to request a clearer separation between physical activities and non-exertional activities such as Meditation. On the Vivoactive 5, Meditation is logged as an Activity and therefore contributes to training load and recovery calculations. This leads to inflated or distorted recovery metrics, since the session has no physiological exertion despite being classified alongside workouts.

Meditation is widely used by Garmin users for stress reduction, HRV improvement, or mindfulness tracking, but it shouldn’t affect load or readiness metrics in the same way as swimming, running, or strength training.

Possible solutions that would help many users:

• A toggle to exclude Meditation from training load/recovery

• A separate “Mindfulness” or “Non-exertional Session” category

• A refinement so activities without measurable exertion don’t impact load

This would improve the accuracy of recovery metrics while still letting users log their meditation sessions. From what I’ve seen on the forums, many people experience the same issue.

Thanks for considering it.
