I don't understand how they can make a SW update and did not see this when they were testing the device/software on their own devices.

I also have a similar issue. 2 days ago the watch had an auto-installed SW update. Since then, battery life's gone down from 8 days to less than a day. Not sure how to check SW version.
Same here, It's crazy not to realise this during testing and release an update with such a catastrophic drain.
