VA5 disconnecting since Android 16 update

I had this issue with the same phone (Pixel 8a) when I first got my VA5. I worked with Garmin over a few months, and it was fixed in a Garmin software update. However, since the Android 16 update, it's happening again.

I've seen others in the same situation with different Garmin models. Is this widespread?

Looks like it's happening with the Venu 3 as well. Used to be that when my watch would disconnect, it at least remembered when I'd set it back up that I'm left-handed and that I wear my watch on my right hand. Now it forgets even that. I get the welcome email every time I reconnect it.
