less than 2 years and no more new feature update compared to VA6

Hi,

VA6 is receiving it's first beta version, with a changelog introducing new features, some of them are already available on the VA5 (and Venu 3) but is it the start of the end ?

  • Added support for Table Tennis activity
  • Added support for breathing variations data in sleep glance
  • Added support for Garmin Share app
  • Fixed issue where animations would sometimes get stuck partway through
  • very possibly.garmin rudelessly reject va5 users' request for updates.they even delete my posts in which i argue for ANT+ bike power sensor support(ridiculously VA6 didn't support it either)

  • Welcome to Garmin, the vendor that wants users who want new features to buy a new watch every year (or even more frequently).

As I said before, Vivoactive 5 and Venu 3 are dead on arrival from feature support point of view - those watches never received significant (if any) feature updates, so users would have to buy new watches to get new features.

Vivoactive 6 is illustrative example - it is same as vivoactive 5 hardware-wise just with different software features. If Garmin wanted, they could update Vioactive 5 with those features insteead of releasing Vivoactive 6. But that is not how they operate. Garmin even stopped feature updates for Fenix 7 and Epix watches only 18 months after release of their pro versions. If they treat their premium customers like that, no wonder they treat Vivoactive customers like this.
