I have been on a really great steps streak for the last 3 years and made sure that no matter what I would complete my steps each day. But then this week I was shocked that my steps streak had been broken. Every day I got the vibration notification and celebration animation yet when I looked under activities/steps in the Connect app, I see that on July 8 it was tracking my steps and then mid-day the graph just ended mid-way. Then from July 9 through July 11 there are 0 steps recorded even though EVERY day I got the steps achieved animation. On July 11, I was on a plane trip and landed in a city with a different timezone and when I did a synch through the Connect app, I noticed that the time on my Vivoactive 5 did not update. I had to go and pair my 5 again with my phone and then it synched and updated the time.
It seems like the tracking of my steps resumed when my watch and phone were re-paired together but why would it not find my steps. The watch should have still recorded my steps even though it was not synching right?
Is there any way I can fix this and recover my steps and get credit so that I can resume my streak after years of effort to keep it going?
