music sync fail with Amazon music Vivoactive 5

My vivoactive won't sync music from Amazon music. First, 90% of the time, from Browse, no playlists appear, it says there is no data. When I can get the playlists to appear, when I select, it says it's syncing but then goes to complete when the download is still at 0%.

I've tried syncing time with GPS, connecting to the GPS and ensuring the watch is plugged in. None of those suggestions from past models works.

I've made sure to connect to the Garmin Connect App and the Amazon music app and neither of those really seems to matter. This is really disappointing as it was this music feature that appealed to me when I replaced my Vivoactive first gen watch.

  • I just figured this out, literally just now. I have a Vivoactive 5. Go into your Amazon Music on your watch and click Browse, select My Music, select Playlists. You likely won’t see your personal playlists here. Select Next all the way on the bottom. Your playlists should now be shown here. Click it and it should download.  Once it’s done, back out, go into your Amazon Music app and boom, it should be there. This was very annoying to figure out. 

  • Mine is not showing any Playlist even though I downloaded one before. It keeps saying no results and won't allow me to select next. Frustrating since it's a new watch.
