I have one of the standard Vivoactive 5 watch faces and since a few weeks I noticed that sometimes (4-5 times so far) under certain conditions the watch face changes and only shows the contours of the normal watch face. Below you see the normal watchface (left) and the "contours only" watchface (right).
I don't yet understand why the watchface changes. My first guess was that it was to save battery, but as you can see from the photo, the battery was at ~75%. Then I noticed that (so far) it only happens when I was in a very bright environment (I was outside and the sun was shining or in a room with bright light). However, I have not been able to reproduce this by holding the watch under a bright light or similar and I also don't know if this makes sense as I would assume that the left watchface is more readable in bright conditions.
Does anyone know what kind of watchface this is?
