Volume maxed out

[Garmin Vivoactive 5] I have issue with volume control, I can't change the volume down (it's always maxed out) I can't even listen to music because its so loud. Every other button works (loop, choosing songs, switching between playlists etc.)

Surely volume control should work across all connected audio devices? I would think it's a safety hazard to have volume maxed and not able to be reduced? (I have the same issue.)

How has this not been addressed? Looks like this has been an issue for years. It's reason to not buy a Garmin.
