Vivoactive 5 Randomly Vibrates and Switches to the Battery Manager Screen.

It's possible your watch is in "activity mode." This is a state the watch would be in, waiting for user input, such as start/stop, or exit. If this is the case, "power save" kicks in after 10 minutes of inactivity. 

Hi There, thanks for your reply. No the watch isn't in activity mode.  It's not the "power save" screen that shows, it's the actual screen that says "Battery Manager" which has the options for you to choose Battery Saver / Battery % / Battery Est. I've noticed it happens more often when I rotate my wrist in a downward & forward motion (same motion to turn off the screen).

I have the same issue. Quite frustrating.

If your watch face shows the battery percentage or battery icon, you can initiate battery manager settings if you press and hold in that area. For more information see, My Watch Face and Brightness Settings Disappeared on My Garmin Watch.

Hi There Garmin, thanks for your reply but I don’t think you understand the actual problem. The watch vibrates randomly and automatically switches to the Battery Management screen. This is done without me touching anything. I have managed to attach a photo of the screen it switches to.  If it is initiated by pressing the batter % on the screen, how can you stop this from happening? Seems others are having the same frustrating problem so it must be a bug?

This is a known bug in the forums since the last update, whereby if you tap the screen (even accidentally) it'll count it as a tap and hold. 

This bug paired with the fact that some watch faces have those active "press to open" buttons, means that if you tap where those stats are, it opens them. Extremely annoying and battery draining

I have exactly the same issue. With any watch face displaying battery status the battery manager is called up with a simple tap on the battery icon (instead of a “tap and hold “). This happens countless times during the day and night. What’s even worse is that once the battery manager is called up it seems invariably to toggle the battery saver slider to “on” and hence disables all the main data monitoring  functions.

Ive switched pro tem to a different watch face which doesn’t have the battery status icon displayed. This is annoying because, even though you get a low battery warning, I like to stay ahead and have my watch regularly charged if I know I’m going to do a couple of days when I can’t charge it. 

I’ve had this watch for less than a month and have lost inumerable periods of data gathering during the day and night because of this issue. This bug needs fixing Garmin, and quickly. It seriously reduces the utility of this product.
