navigating with Vivoactive 5.

I was interest in this watch and was wondering how useful it is for navigating?

i.e. can you upload gpx files and does it have a screen or screens so that you can log distance travelled, height gain/loss, current altitude, bearings etc.??

No you cant. I find it ridiculous that a f$#@%!ing fitness watch can't display a gpx file. No I have to rely on a **** 3rd party app for which I have to pay 20€ or even have to subscribe with 60€/year…

You can use the GPS navigation feature to save locations and navigate to locations. You cannot upload GPX files to this device as it does not support running/cycling courses. However, while you are running/cycling outdoors you will be able to log distance, elevation and etc..

Can I add Google Maps as an app or get the watch to show directions from the phone?
