Won't connect to GPS for up to 30 minutes!!

Vivoactive's won't connect to GPS at all, or takes up to 30 minutes?

I've tried powering off and on.

I've tried re-syncing with phone.

I've tried and restarting and standing outside for good signal.

And finally I've tried instructions to delete the RemoteSW folder and re-sync to Garmin Express with no improvement

I have two of these watches and both are now pretty much useless to me.
