I did a half marathon today on a flat course, my Garmin vivoactive 4s logged 168m climb but my friends watch said 0m..... What's going on?

Could it be the barometric pressure changed while you were running and the watch interpreted that as elevation change?
I live in the Netherlands which is dead flat and I observe the same thing.
No because I ran with a mate who also has a Garmin and his elevation was 0m. Could be a vivoactive thing but it's don't it playing hockey on a level pitch as well. Might be my arm moving up and down?
