Beta software update - 8.40

Unfortunately, it didn't for me and others who installed the update. Garmin-Inder can you offer some clues about what the 8.40 brings, please?

So... No, issue isn't resolved. It seems to happen less frequently though: in particular, it looks like if I sync the watch after unplugging from charge, it doesn't drain as quickly (more testing required though)

I also thought I've found the culprit after seeing the HR sensor lighting solid green instead of pulsing as before. However, after disabling the HR sensor, the drain was still there. There's no light at the end of the tunnel, I'm afraid, the only solution is another watch.Unfortunately, it appears that Garmin has shut the door, and those who asked for a replacement recently were simply turned down. Watch too old, warranty expired, buy another. Questionable, but life isn't always fair.

Life isn't always fair, but GARMIN need to be fair with his customer. I cannot spent 200 euros every 2 year for a watch because they dont want change my battery or fix hir bugged firmware. This is incredible.

I agree and this is why I'm not considering Garmin as a replacement. Coros Apex 2 Pro seems like a better watch if you're not dependent on Garmin Pay.

yes but what you will do with all garmin connect training do ? i loose all history of my training.. i hate this

there are third-party services that can sync between the two. Runalyze is pretty good, but Coros can also import directly your Garmin history support.coros.com/.../7708736140948-How-to-bulk-import-workout-data-from-Garmin-to-COROS

8.40 installed

now i recharge it to 100% and do some test about auto turn off when i start a training. very very big bug. 

I would'n hold my breath...
