Vivoactive 4s touchscreen stopped working after 2 years. Garmin wants 140$ USC to "replace" it. Seems a bit absurd to me.

My touchscreen randomly stopped working yesterday. No drops, damages or anything. I tried all the restarts garmin recommends...can't factory hard reset it as the screen doesn't work. Garmin wants 140 USC to replace but that's 100 less than a brand new watch. I would expect a brand like this to last longer, especially since I dished out 300$ for the watch.

  • I had a similar condition, but my watch won't connect through bluetooth as well, its only 2.5 years old and like you no drops, damages or anything.  Disappointed as well, questioning the durability of these watches and the high prices.

  • Newer Garmin watches are oleven worse in that regard, more less reliable when it comes to quality.

  • Same thing happened to me just now, exactly after 2 years, my purchase date was 1st Dec 2022,  no drops no damages. I was telling everyone how happy I am with Garmin and suddenly it stopped working...

I just forgot to charge my watch and left it for charging for 4-5 hours and not is only showing blue triangle.

It was not at all expected from the company.

  • The same issue here. Vivoactive 4. Touchscreen stops working. Can't connect to the phone. High battery consumption.
