Software version 8.30 - update recieved although there is no official innformation about it

Thanks, but it does not say anything about changes in software.

It doesn't because there aren't any.

Every update brings some changes, no matter how small they may be. If there were no changes, there wiuld be no need for update.

Garmin-Inder literally says in that thread, if you have read:

"I apologize for the delayed response. This beta update had a backend fix. There is nothing prominent to display on the changelog."

And I asked what exactly was fixed.

This is the worst update to ever come through from Garmin. It has basically killed my watch. I went from needing to charge my watch from every 5-6 days to every 6 hours. This is ridiculous! 

Exactly. And they say nothing was changed. My question on what exactly was changed remains unanswered although software obviously cases serious problems to some users. 

Same for me, i made a hard reset, try the beta program (8.50). try update with Garmin Express... The VA4 still shut down when I launch an activity, when it tries to connect wifi and the HR doesn't work anymore. No answer from de Garmin support.
