My VA4 just updated a couple of hours ago to sw 8.30.
Any change log, is it beta, final version?
There's no info anywhere, not in this forum, nor in the beta program section.
Note: I am enrolled in the beta testing program.

I have version 8.3. Since I updated the battery it lasts 1 day. My average has always been 4 days. The real problem is that at night it drains my watch by 40%. I've had my watch for 3 years and I never…

thanks. Was it for a long time? Garmin support told me that they could've extended the warranty if it was closer to the 2-year term to qualify for a free replacement, but given it was 4-year old, I was asked about 140 euros (that's over $210 Canadian) for a replacement. That's almost as much as a new VA4 retails in my country, and I wouldn't pay that much for a refurbished and potentially flawed product.
I had assumed it was a one year warranty - but it is two years. I purchased my watch in December 2022 so my watch was under warranty - that explains why I got a replacement. Sorry for the misinformation!

Exactly the same problem. Unfortunately it seems that Garmin knows and doesn t want to fox that. They offered me a replacement for my watch for a sensa 2s..... of course not for free adding 140€... crazy. The watch was perfect and because of their update I have to buy a new one ? If that is the case then bye-bye Garmin. If I have to give my money, I will to a serious company, not the one that voluntarily destroy my watch.....
Can you confirm that the replacement watch is still in good working condition? I will also get a replacement, but I'm afraid it might break at some point like the old one.
I refused their offer as I do not trust them. They wanted to send me refurbished venu 2s for 140 euros.... or give me 20%off on a new watch. For me this is a fraud, as they released an update that killed the watch you have to force you buying another one. I got it for 2 and half years and was happy about it. Really disappointing
My question was in reply to user "5089691", unfortunately Garmin forums is not able to maintain a timeline. As for the 140 euro, I declined too and asked to escalate my case to the regional level (my country support asked me for money, same as you). Then I got a free replacement, so you should also try to escalate your case.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. I will try for a free replacement thank you!!!
After seeing several forum I pretty sure that isn't software issues is the batery that's need to be replaced that solves all de problems
