Step streak and travel across time zones (syncing Vivoactive 4 watch to Garmin Connect steps streak)

My steps streak is lower on my Vivoactive 4 watch than the correct streak on Garmin Connect. My Vivoactive 4 got confused when I flew across 8 time zones (even though it showed me meeting my step goal each day). Any way to get my watch to update to my (correct) Garmin Connect step streak?
