I can’t change volume when connected to Bluetooth earphones. What is the reason for this and can I fix it?

Can’t seem to change the volume from my watch. Brought a Vivoactive 4s. It is stuck on full volume and doesn’t work to change. Can I please have a solution for this or at least an answer? I have an Apple I phone and am using Spotify.

Have you tried another headphone? As this FAQ mentions 'Not all headphone features will work with Garmin watches such as volume control, pause, or skip' Bluetooth Headphone Compatibility for Garmin Music Watches

Just to mention it, *if* you're fine with keeping your phone with you while you listen to Spotify, you can connect your earphones to the *phone*, vs the watch, and still have control over the playback/volume from your watch (as far as I can imagine, that may make a difference in terms of being able to control the volume on the earphones).
